Description

Lornoxicam

• Drug class: Oxicam

• Is as effective as the opioid analgesics morphine, pethidine (meperidine), and tramadol in relieving postoperative pain following gynecological or orthopedic surgery. 

• Was as effective as other NSAIDs in relieving symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute sciatica, and low back pain. 

• Showed a decrease in the incidence and severity of pain in the first postoperative phase following third molar surgery compared to Flurbiprofen and placebo. 

Paracetamol (Aniline analgesic)

• Drug class: Analgesics and antipyretics

Pharmacokinetic properties:

• High oral bioavailability, 
• Good penetration into the brain,

• Has proven its clinical efficacy and safety in the treatment of various acute and chronic pain states.

• Due to its cardiovascular, renal and gastrointestinal safety paracetamol offers several advantages vs. NSAIDs.

COMBINATIONS

• Lornoxicam + paracetamol is effective with sustain, fast onset of action, and total pain relief.

• This could be an alternative NSAIDs when they are contraindicated.
