Description
Piroxicam
- Drug class: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
- Class II drug with low solubility and high permeability.
- Potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent that also has antipyretic activity.
- Slow and gradual absorption via the oral route has a long half-life of elimination.
- Renders a prolonged therapeutic action and a delayed onset of anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
