SENSE-32 Kid Tooth Paste
Curtails Embarrassing Caries & Cavities
COMPOSITION: Sodium Monofluorophosphate 0.38% (Gel Base)
Description
Sodium Monofluorophosphate (Na2PO3F)
Drug Class: Inorganic salt
- Reduce the ability of bacteria to make acids
- Dentifrices formulated with sodium monofluorophosphate provide an equivalent level of anticaries efficacy as to those formulated with sodium fluoride.
- Use of sodium monofluorophosphate dentifrice was as effective in reducing caries as twice annual, professionally applied, treatments of an acidulated phospho-fluoride gel.
- After 3 years of uncontrolled use, the number of new DMF surfaces is smaller in children using Na2PO3F toothpaste and the caries-inhibiting effect was statistically significant compared to the placebo groups.
(Note: Decayed, Missing, Filled (DMF) index is the key measure of caries experience in dental epidemiology.)
