COMPOSITION
Atorvastatin
- Class of medications: HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins)
- Inhibits the action of HMG-CoA reductase and thereby decreases endogenous cholesterol synthesis, leading to a decrease in circulating low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
- Highly soluble and permeable with complete absorption.
Ramipril
- Class of medications: Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors
- Reduces the relative risk of myocardial infarction (M) and other ischaemic events by 14 to 23%.
- An oral, non-sulfhydryl ACE inhibitor thus decreases vasopressor activity, aldosterone secretion, and bradykinin degradation.
Asprin
- Class of medications: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
- Aspirin is an antiplatelet medication. It prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots.
- Relieves pain with cardioprotective effects.
Metoprolol Succinate
- Class of medications: Beta-blockers
- Provides consistent beta (1)-blockade over the 24-hour dosing interval.
- Significantly reduces systolic blood pressure (SBP) and reduced diastolic blood pressure.
- Decreases plasma cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol significantly.
