Description

COMPOSITION

Atorvastatin

  • Class of medications: HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins)
  • Inhibits the action of HMG-CoA reductase and thereby decreases endogenous cholesterol synthesis, leading to a decrease in circulating low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
  • Highly soluble and permeable with complete absorption.

Ramipril

  • Class of medications: Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors
  • Reduces the relative risk of myocardial infarction (M) and other ischaemic events by 14 to 23%.
  • An oral, non-sulfhydryl ACE inhibitor thus decreases vasopressor activity, aldosterone secretion, and bradykinin degradation.

Asprin

  • Class of medications: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
  • Aspirin is an antiplatelet medication. It prevents the platelets from sticking together and decreases the formation of harmful blood clots.
  • Relieves pain with cardioprotective effects.

Metoprolol Succinate

  • Class of medications: Beta-blockers
  • Provides consistent beta (1)-blockade over the 24-hour dosing interval.
  • Significantly reduces systolic blood pressure (SBP) and reduced diastolic blood pressure.
  • Decreases plasma cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol significantly.
