Amoxycillin 1000 mg + Potassium Clavulanate 200 mg

Amoxycillin (Penicillin-like antibiotics) 

• Amoxicillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic classified as a Class III drug with low permeability according to Biopharmaceutics Classification System and has an antibacterial effect on Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.

Potassium Clavulanate (beta-lactamase inhibitors)

• Potassium clavulanate is a novel beta-lactamase inhibitor and has a strong broad-spectrum enzyme inhibitory function.

COMBINATION

• The mixture of the β-lactam antibiotic with the β-lactamase inhibitor amoxicillin-clavulanate potassium enhances the sensitivity of antibiotics and reduces the possibility of drug-resistant bacteria.

• It has been well documented that amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium can alleviate the clinical symptoms of UTI children and improve their short-term efficacy.

• Potassium clavulanate in combination expands the spectrum of amoxicillin to include many amoxicillin-resistant organisms; and its plasma time-course parallels that of amoxicillin.
