Description
COMPOSITION:
Whey proteins
- Whey proteins represent a heterogeneous group of proteins (β-lactoglobulin, α-lactalbumin, serum albumin, immunoglobulins …etc.).
- WPC, beta-lactoglobulin and alpha-lactalbumin improve the liver damage induced by CCl4.
Soya Protein isolate
- Soy protein intake reduces the accumulation of cholesterol & triglycerides in the liver that can lead to a reduction in liver steatosis.
- A study reported soy protein with high isoflavones reduced liver lipids which resulted in a reduction of cholesterol.
Taurine
- It is evident from numerous studies, taurine plays a role in alleviating hepatic steatosis by lowering the levels of triglycerides and cholesterol.
Adenosylmethionine
- Supplementation of S-adenosyl-L-methionine (the methyl donor for all methylation reactions), restores hepatic glutathione which is an important cellular antioxidant.
- Attenuates liver injury by serving as a key metabolite that regulates hepatocyte growth, death & differentiation.
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum)
- Well researched plant, acts as an antioxidant by reducing free radical production and lipid peroxidation.
- Has antifibrotic activity and may act as a toxin blockade agent by inhibiting the binding of toxins to the hepatocyte cell membrane receptors
Veg. Fat powder, Minerals, and Vitamins
- Nutrients from vegetables provide protective dietary factors, such as antioxidant vitamins.
- Natural products of certain fruits can interact with drugs affecting their metabolism and elimination.
